About

A writer and poet exploring the edges of what it means to be human through philosophical science fiction

Vadim P. Chernyshev is a writer and poet working where philosophy meets science fiction. His characters — scientists, keepers, librarians, accidental witnesses to the impossible — face questions that no formula can answer: what makes us human, where the line runs between knowledge and memory, whether one can be heard in absolute silence.

In Vadim’s prose, space and the future are not scenery for adventure but a magnifying glass that brings the human into focus: loneliness and hope, choice and its price. His stories read like parables, his novels like a long conversation after which you want to sit in silence for a while.

For the author, poetry is a way of thinking slowly. The poems form cycles, like letters sent in different years to a single addressee. New poems first appear on the author’s Facebook page and are then gathered into an archive you can download freely from this site.

All books are distributed directly, without intermediaries: readers receive the full digital edition as a thank-you for their support. It is a deliberate choice — an honest agreement between the author and the readers these books are written for.

Literary Manifesto

Literature begins where ready-made answers end.

I believe science fiction is not an escape from reality but a way of looking at it from a distance at which the essential becomes visible. The future is a question we ask today. And as long as we keep asking, we remain human.
